![]() ![]() It is NOT judging to speak out against sin. We are to love sinners, NOT enable them in sinning. So when you see a person, especially one who claims to be a Christian using devious tactics like the above, you should know that this person is NOT of God. “By their fruits, you shall know them” the Bible says. When you look up the characteristics of personality disorders, in particular, narcissism, psychopathy and sociopathy, you will find gaslighting and manipulation on the list. This tactic of gaslighting, invalidation, reality-twisting that the devil used on Eve and on Jesus Himself is a tactic that people with psychopathic and sociopathic traits use. Through the Holy Spirit, may we always have the spirit of discernment to sift through the lies of the devil. Both him and those who are not of God will engage in diabolical twisting of Scripture in order to justify their nefarious agenda and to silence truth. ![]() He did the same thing to our Lord during his 40 day fast in the wildnerness, twisting Scripture to provoke our Lord into sinning. When he tempted Eve and she tried to resist by saying “God said we should not eat from the tree”, the serpent responded with “Did He REALLY tell you not to eat of the fruit….”. ![]() The serpent, that good ole’ devil, employed this same tactic in the Garden of Eve. Twisting Scripture and using it invalidate Scripture is nothing new. One of the problems a lot of traditional Catholics encounter is from non-Catholics and even ‘Catholics’ throwing out this verse in an effort to shut down, silence and essentially bully a Traditional Catholic’s Biblically-supported opinions and views. It is not judging to speak out against sin. “Judge not, lest you be judged” (Matthew 7:1). ![]()
